As everyone knows, nothing lives for ever. Not me, not you reading this, not the dogs or any other living thing. Sooner or later, we must face the fact that ones we love pass on. This page is for them.
Jozsef's Princess Tasha Azul, Our first Siberian
11/22/96 to 08/27/06
Dear sweet Tasha, our first Siberian, we had no hint you were going to leave us, you were just gone. We learned so much from you, containment, coat blowing, the unique Siberian personality. Rest well Tasha.
Above and left, Tasha as a youngster.
Below, Tasha in her run, on the far right.
The Major
Unknown birth date 1995 to 06/28/06.
Not a Siberian, but our last smooth black dog. Part bird dog, part Labrador, all heart until the end. We had to let you go to ease your pain. Rest well Major.
Chinook, the Siberian rescue foster who never left. You had a good run here Chinook and we will never forget you. Rest well Chinook.
Nova, another smooth black dog. Your shared our lives and made it interesting.
Maggie, black labrador. Oh Mags, you were my rock for so long. I cannot even express the loss I still feel from your passing.
Mollie, black labrador. Your life was too short. You had way too much fun and deserved better.
Bobo, Chesapeake Bay Retriever. Bobo, who can ever forget you in your softball uniform. You were another whose time was too short. You were taken from us much too soon.
Baree's Enchantment
"Yanni"
07/13/94 - 01/26/07
Yanni came to us at the age of 7. Lisa had initially just intended to show him in Junior Showmanship, but as he got into better and better shape, she decided to try to finish him. He already had 7 points, Lisa put on a couple of singles and one major. Way to go Iron Man!!
Yanni turned 10 in July of 2004 and Lisa made the hard decision to retire him with an honorary championship. Yanni remained with us for the rest of his life, running and playing on the farm, doing his thing and living la vida loca. Yanni accomplished so much more than we were told he was capable of. Taking that nice major was proof positive that you should never give up. We were so proud of Yanni.
Yanni passed away on his own terms, 01/26/07. We knew his time with us was growing short but did not expect it to end so soon. In typical Iron Man fashion, and with impeccable timing, he took the ultimate decision from Lisa and passed with both of us here at his side.
Here are Yanni and Lisa, with Judge Elizabeth Muthard, getting that long sought Major in Texas.
