Polargold Siberians (formerly D'Azul) is located in Lawson, Missouri, just an hour northeast of Kansas City. We've had Siberians since 1997.
We have always had dogs, as well as other animals, but mostly dogs. In the past we had retrievers, Chesapeakes and Labradors. We engaged in hunting and field activities with them, as well as enjoying them as companions.
Then we became intrigued with the Nordic breeds and obtained our first Siberian.
In 2000, we started showing our Siberians in conformation. We had a lot to learn, and are still learning but having a great time doing it. We now have our first totally owner handled AKC champion, Penny, finished in July of 2003. We could not be prouder of Penny. In November of 2006, we finished our first Bred-By Exhibitor Champion, Juarez. In April of 2007, Juarez's sister, Naomi, came back for showing. She completed her championship on 07/07/07 and is now back in Pennsylvania at Dancing Winds Siberians. Like Juarez, all Naomi's points came from the Bred-By Exhibitor Class. In 2008 Lisa started showing Eddie for his co-owners in July, Eddie also finished out of the Bred-By Exhibitor class, giving us three Bred-By Champions in three years. Eddie is now back with Kathleen and will be starting up in obedience.
Sadly we lost our lovely Penny to lymphoma in December 2009. As a way to honor her memory and all that she contributed, we have changed our kennel name to Polargold, which was part of Penny's registered name.
We rarely breed, so if you are looking for a puppy, please see the SHCA breeder referral program to better suit your needs. If a dog ever becomes available, it will be placed on our available page. Pedigrees of our dogs are available upon request, as well as being posted on Paw Village.
We share our home with various other animals, ducks, chickens, and horses, not to mention the deer, turkey, racoons and other sundry wildlife that strolls through.
